Black Granite is our most commonly laser etched and engraved stone material because of its high durability when compared to other substrates. It resists scratches, weathering, and day-to-day abuses much better than other products. Because of its tremendous density, granite shows phenomenal detail, yet still reflects the stone’s beauty within each stone engraving.
	Granite etchings can easily be placed both indoors and outdoors for use as flooring, wall murals, kitchen backsplashes, shower walls, monuments, plaques, and more.
		Granite Tiles:
		Polished granite stone etchings can be done on standard 12” x 12” x 3/8” or 18” x 18” x 1/2” tiles, or cut down to any size. Multiple tiles are commonly used to create large pieces used for flooring, wall hangings kitchen backsplashes, bathroom inlays, wall murals, monuments, signage, plaques, and more.
		Granite Slab:
		Standard slab, 3/4” thick can be cut to any size and shape 4’ x 8’ or smaller. Slab pieces eliminate any tile lines, and are most commonly used for kitchen backsplashes, plaques, memorials, and signage.
		Granite Thin Slab:
		Reinforced granite stone only 3/8” thick comes in 4’ x 8’ sheets and can be cut down to any size and shape. Thin slab serves as a practical and lightweight stone solution for large non-tile etchings that are often used for wall murals, hangings, shower walls, monuments, and signage.
	Black Marble is a much softer stone than granite, which allows for even greater detail representation in the image laser etching process. In fact, marble stone engravings are so detailed they are often mistaken for photographs until closer inspection. Because of its softness, marble etches to a brighter white surface and allows for greater color absorption, resulting in extremely bright and vivid color staining by our artists.
	However, marble’s soft surface easily scratches and is predominantly utilized for non-traffic, semi-protected displays such as wall art, signage and photo etchings. Small photo memorials, personal portraits, wedding invitations, and gift plaques are commonly done on marble because of the intricate detail achieved even at the smallest sizes.
		Marble Tiles:
		Available in 12” x 12” x 3/8” tiles that can be cut down to any size, or pieced together for larger etchings. Black Marble Slab material is soon to become available.
	Travertine is a light-colored stone usually consisting of natural beige and tan veining mixed together in abstract patterns. A rustic “Old World” appeal best describes etched travertine, providing a subtle yet highly elegant look.
	Because travertine is a soft stone like marble, it is best utilized in a low traffic location as a wall piece; although, if well maintained, travertine stone can be used in creating spectacular flooring, backsplashes and more.
		Travertine Tiles:
		Available in 12” x 12” x 3/8”, 18” x 18” x 1/2”, or 24” x 24” x 1/2” tiles can be cut down to any size, or pieced together to create larger etchings.
